Privacy Policy

Avid Legal PLLC (“Avid Legal,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how to accept or decline cookies.

Information you provide

When you complete the contact or scheduling form, we collect the information you choose to provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, company, role, preferred call windows, and message. This information is stored in the firm’s intake and client-management system and may generate an internal email notification so we can respond.

Cookies and consent

This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies unless you accept them through the cookie banner. Until you choose — and if you decline — the only cookie set is a small first-party cookie that records your choice. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer; withdrawal applies from that point forward.

Analytics cookies

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. This information is reported to us in aggregate and does not identify you by name.

Advertising and remarketing cookies

If you accept cookies, we and our advertising vendors — currently Google Ads and LinkedIn — may set cookies used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show our ads to people who have previously visited this website (remarketing). If we later enable additional advertising platforms (such as Meta), their cookies will be covered by the same consent choice and added to the list below.

Cookies we use

If you accept cookies, the following may be set. Durations are approximate and controlled by each vendor:

  • avid_consent (Avid Legal) — records your cookie choice; about 6 months; set once you make a choice, whether you accept or decline.
  • _ga and _ga_* (Google Analytics) — distinguish visitors for site analytics; up to 2 years.
  • _gcl_au and related Google Ads cookies — advertising measurement and remarketing; about 3 months.
  • bcookie, li_sugr, UserMatchHistory, and AnalyticsSyncHistory (LinkedIn) — advertising measurement and remarketing; 30 days to 1 year.

How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about your request;
  • To operate, maintain, and improve this website;
  • To measure and improve our advertising, where you have accepted cookies;
  • To comply with legal and professional obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information with service providers who help us operate this website and our practice — for example, our website host, our intake and client-management system, and, where you have accepted cookies, the analytics and advertising vendors described above. Some U.S. state privacy laws treat the use of advertising cookies as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; you can opt out of that use by declining cookies or withdrawing consent through the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Retention

We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to meet the firm’s business and professional record-keeping obligations. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to each vendor’s published retention settings.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information as described above. You can exercise the cookie-related choices through the banner or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, and any of these rights by contacting us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law, subject to our professional record-keeping obligations.
