Jack Rotenstein is an attorney at Avid Legal, where his practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions. He has more than two decades of experience representing clients on domestic and international public and private mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, divestitures, and investments.
Jack negotiates, drafts, and reviews merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, stockholders' agreements, operating agreements, employment agreements, term sheets, and proposal letters. He has acted as lead counsel on transactions and advises corporate and private equity clients on day-to-day matters, including public disclosure obligations and corporate governance.
Before joining Avid Legal, Jack practiced in the mergers and acquisitions groups of Seward & Kissel LLP and White & Case LLP in New York, served as Counsel in the corporate and mergers and acquisitions group of Dentons, and spent six years as Counsel in the mergers and acquisitions division of Barclays PLC, where he advised the bank's investment bankers on M&A transactions.
Jack authored the chapter “Important Tools in Distressed M&A Transactions” in M&A Strategies for Bankruptcy and Distressed Companies. He is admitted to The New York Bar.
