Luiggi Pera

Luiggi Pera is Of Counsel at Avid Legal, where he works with startups, founders, venture capital funds, and investment advisers in the United States and Latin America. He advises on company formation, fundraising, fund formation, and fund compliance.

His work includes VC-ready corporate formations, preparing SAFEs, convertible notes, and Series A financing documents, and counseling investment advisers and fund sponsors on Form ADV, Investment Advisers Act compliance, and Regulation D and Regulation Crowdfunding offerings.

Luiggi spent several years at JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley, where he ensured regulatory compliance across corporate and investment banking, asset management, and private wealth. He later co-founded Miventure, a Regulation D and Regulation Crowdfunding investment platform that was acquired, giving him both a legal and an operator’s perspective.

Luiggi is admitted to practice in New York. He holds a J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, an M.B.A. from the State University of New York, and a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Born in Lima, Peru, he works with clients in English and Spanish.
