Mario Sosa is Foreign Counsel at Avid Legal, focusing on cross-border matters for clients operating between Mexico and the United States, and for Latin American clients with global ambitions. He is not licensed to practice law in the United States; he is licensed to practice law in Mexico.
His work spans corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, financing facilities, private equity deals, venture capital transactions, estate planning, and wealth management for international families. He has experience in both Mexico and the United States with general corporate matters for operating businesses, transactional deals, corporate finance structures, private equity and venture capital investments, and international estate planning.
Mario has worked both as external counsel and as in-house counsel, giving him familiarity with clients' financial and wealth strategy considerations and investment policies. He advises on cross-border transactions and international corporate strategies across Mexico, the United States, and Latin America.
He holds a Master of Laws and a Certificate in Business Administration from Northwestern University, a Master of Laws from the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Nuevo Leon, and a law degree from the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
