Shaun H. Malvin

Shaun H. Malvin is a Partner at Avid Legal and serves as outside general counsel to business owners, operators, investors, and growing companies. His work spans mergers and acquisitions, startup and venture-backed company matters, real estate transactions, commercial contracts, mediation, and dispute resolution.

Clients often come to Shaun when a business issue does not fit neatly into one category. He helps structure deals, negotiate documents, assess risk, resolve disputes, and make practical decisions where legal, financial, and operational considerations overlap.

Shaun drafts and negotiates operating agreements, shareholder agreements, purchase and sale agreements, licensing agreements, employment agreements, leases, and other commercial documents. His real estate work includes purchase and sale matters, commercial leasing, title and closing issues, and real estate-related disputes. He is a title agent with Old Republic National Title Insurance Company and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

Before Avid Legal, Shaun practiced business law and litigation at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP and later represented public pension funds, public employee labor organizations, and related entities. That background informs his approach to negotiation, governance, investments, disputes, and business decisions that require both legal analysis and practical judgment.
