Matthew Black has served as lead counsel across a wide range of industries, including financial services, media, and AI and data-focused startups, with deep experience negotiating enterprise SaaS, software, cloud, and data agreements.
Matthew has advised C-suite leaders on AI development and deployment strategy, cybersecurity risk, and intellectual property development and protection, and has served as Data Protection Officer for companies operating across multiple jurisdictions. His privacy practice spans GDPR, CCPA, data breach response, and the design and implementation of enterprise privacy programs.
Prior to his in-house career, Matthew practiced at Proskauer Rose and Ropes & Gray, where he counseled clients on technology transactions, licensing, intellectual property, and data security matters.
